Mental Health

People nod their heads when “exercise helps mental health” is said…but not much more. This is because most exercise is simply in the form of “blowing off steam”. This helps but in a very temporary way.

When you exercise for strength you do gain stamina but you also gain two other very valuable things:

1. The same chemical cascade as cardio activity but one that lasts far longer. Often days after a workout not just hours.

2. Everything you have to do in life becomes a bit easier when your body is strong which reduces the impact of all types of stress.

We didn’t want to include the next item because it is individual dependent but it can be huge for mental health.

“The actual process of getting stronger builds confidence and reduces anxiety”

Grow your mental health.

Be well, be strong,

Andrew and Tierney
