As personal trainers we hear a lot of comments like “I’ve been eating better and doing my cardio but I still feel fat!”. The thing is unless you have a rare body type or are under 30 your efforts…lack effort.

NO…we don’t mean you aren’t trying hard enough! The simple fact is if you don’t have plenty of muscle strength your metabolism is weak and your movement has little effect.
You can restrict your eating and do plenty of cardio but without the engines to power the process the trip doesn’t go far. In fact you can actually make your situation worse over time.

Regular strength exercise is a fundamental answer to health. When your bones and lean muscle are strong your efforts become exponential and your movement takes on deeper meaning.

Be well, be strong,
