A relatively new personal training client was learning proper technique and we ended up in a somewhat in-depth discussion about inhaling, exhaling and everything in between. They made the point that this should be a blog post as it has value for all.
As personal trainers we tend to focus on helping each individual with their strengths and weaknesses as in what specifically pertains to them. However it is useful to understand the physiological implications and in’s and out’s of breathing…in fact what could be more important? Consider you can go 3 weeks without food even 3 days without water but only 3 minutes without oxygen. Such suggests its primary position in your health and fitness.
