Here in Ottawa Ontario Canada summer is on the horizon but this spring has been a mix of cold and sort of warm. The reminder that you will be revealing your body to the public a bit more will sneak up on most. As usual it will be met with panic and/or defeatism.
The standard practice in fat loss is rapid weight loss….they aren’t the same thing. Only slow fat loss is healthy and only slow fat loss will be maintained. It’s an inconvenient truth. It’s not a money maker either and garners little attention. Fast weight loss is fast weight loss, you lose water and lean tissue not just body fat. Fast fat loss does damage to your health and ability to maintain a reasonable body fat percentage.

Body fat is a protective tissue which for 99 percent of human existence as saved people from a common cause of death – starvation and disease exacerbated by starvation. Body fat as a tissue is not in any manner negative but too much of a good thing is as always…the golden rule. Health is about balance and no matter what fantasy you think about or are sold there is no extra health or super health.
