You have begun a diet and you are losing fat…or are you? Let us share a straightforward method of determining this.
Take three girth measurements. Measure around your chest, bellybutton and hips. You want the widest point in those areas.

In basic terms if these measurements are going down as your scale weight reduces you are losing fat. If they aren’t shrinking but your scale weight is then you are losing water and muscle. The most important measurement being around your belly.

Why is this important? Because fat loss diets can make you fatter in the long run and we’ll share some strategies with you to combat this in this weeks series.
