We read so much what we call nice-nice talk about eating nice and clean, and moving more and alternatives to junk food and ideas to get exercise gently into ones life…so much that we often feel, believe it or not, ‘niced out’. At the other end online we see so many ripped aggressive fitness fanatics that we must at times cringe and squint at the blinding flash of it all.
It is tough to deny that though media is soaked with good looking fit people if you put your phone down for a minute in public and really look at each person around you…all of them one at a time for at least a second or two…the facts are rough. Over weight and out of shape is the norm and it isn’t levelling off it just proliferates through all age groups more each year.
Note the continual rise in joint damaged, low energy, auto immune disordered, quietly ashamed and overly heavy people. Compare this to the amount of fitness fads, fitness facilities and fitness marketing events and you may actually stop and wonder what the heck is going on. The supposed answers grow and grow and organic, gluten-free, detoxing, fat blasting solutions are just not stemming the numbers of suffering.

Sensible eating, common sense solutions, down to earth ‘natural’ thinking is being ignored? Maybe people are just too darn lazy! Capital B Capital S – No one wants to be unhealthy, unattractive, weak, sore, lethargic or overweight. Personal responsibility matters as a primary IF you have the REAL facts…so here they are. If they do they will feel stress, negativity and a sense of failure. Even if they don’t ever fail the stress of constant wrestling with it internally will take its toll which is counter to trying to eat well for health. Likewise those who get a kick out of being physically intense will 99% of the time suffer from over use issues because they milked actions well beyond the skill acquisition/metabolic efficiency stages.

Physiology Fact: Making all physical actions which are repeated often enough ‘metabolically less expensive’ happens 100% of the time whether you want to argue with your nervous system or not.

Over using if not abusing your adrenals and your fight or flight hormones will not provide a real answer, even cortisol blunts insulin sensitivity and your body will blunt your efforts to run from the problem. You can try to strangle your body issues but the real solutions will slip through your hands.

The more you physically move and lower blood sugar levels the more your body chemistry adjusts to slow your metabolic rate and increase your ability to store adipose tissue (body fat).
The more you lower/restrict calories…well more of the same as above. You cannot fool your system, you can sometimes trick it short term but it won’t forget and standard diets increase your problems over time rather than helping you save your health. Trying to shrink your body by flitting around and trying to eat like a bird will, in 99% of the cases, worsen your physical condition over time. Just skipping a meal and remaining active will see a significant increase in appetite later on even the next day, an increase that will not be needed at the time but will increase fat stores.

Join whatever latest craze resonates with you. Eat in a ‘special’ way, exercise with this fad program or that…go all out and make huge changes then check back with us down the road.

Models use/used bouts of starvation, speed type drugs even regurgitation to accomplish uncanny thinness. Modern wannabe models like high level crossfit, bodybuilding types use steroids and often GH as well. This is why, as seen clearly with the woman, they are ripped but far more muscular than any average person…even naturally athletic ones. Just pay more attention and take the time to make comparisons without looking too close at the individuals but seeing and overview of individuals. If you step back you will see not just implants, make up, tans and lighting but extremely rare physical traits popping out not so rarely as if secrets for sale are now known. Even those tiny few with rare genetics must strain to the nth degree to look stage ready.

There is NO escaping the physiological truth – you are built on every level to be as fat as possible to fight starvation. No amount of head games, denial, drugs, surgeries let alone fads will change human physiology. You are hard wired to your core(tex) to rest whenever possible because for 99.999999% of the time humans were evolving we faced adversity and harsh conditions at every turn. Unpredictable nature has been met with the development of one true(ly) amazing human trait – adaptability.

There is NO special diet, humans survived by adapting as best they could to whatever they could get. Your best nutrition is that which suits your body to support its Stamina and Strength.
Health changing Stamina and Strength will NOT magically come to you by excessive, repetitive low or mid-intensity actions. Movement is not exercise it is essential to ‘maintaining’ health. If you wish to have healthy stamina and strength you must ignore evolutions worst development – the push to get you out of the gene pool if you don’t naturally have incredible genetics to best survive whatever conditions are present day common.
In other words, the real purpose of exercise is to make it possible to keep you moving, keep you from eroding through age by making and maintaining robust Strength and Stamina. It is technology to adapt and out maneuver the forward momentum of evolution and time.
Let nature do its thing and wind you down quick as you weaken, losing lean mass and retaining fat mass OR learn about eating and how it relates to YOU while consistently but not frequently exercising your weaknesses to balance them back with your strengths. Then you can worry about tweaking your look, your hair, your cloths. Then pick your fun, sports and for goodness sake YES keeping moving!

There is no one to blame – period, it is what it is, natural selection. Love it or hate you had better love yourself and care for yourself like you would care for a loved one or be selected for degradation. It will feel unnatural to exercise your weaknesses rather than your strengths and it will feel unnatural to eat MORE of the foods your personal body type responds to in order to lose body fat. Just keep in mind what is natural IS overeating and taking as many rest breaks as possible.

Nature is natural but it is also indiscriminate – it WILL separate the wheat from the chaff. You have one of the greatest evolved capacities to think clearly if you choose…choose to be fit.
