When your body is tired it affects your thinking. When your body is uncomfortable it messes with your mood. Life stress will cause both of these things and you see the side-effects in your own behaviour. You can notice how it makes you less effective and less friendly.

Knowing these basic facts of life why would you increase it by allowing yourself to be out of shape? We’re not talking about the odd night of staying up late and eating/drinking a bit too much. We’re talking across the board not staying fit and strong. We’re talking about lazily letting yourself become soft and susceptible to even minor stress.
If you don’t have a serious and consistent program to address your strength and stamina you get tired easily. If you aren’t committed to regular exercise your temperament will be one of intolerance and random moodiness. Again regular daily stress will make you uncomfortable and unresponsive. Not caring for your physical fitness will increase this ten fold. Your capabilities crumble under weakness and it literally makes you a worse person.
