Before you yell it in your head too many times the answer is yes woman ‘can’ be strong. That isn’t the question posed, the question is why are they weak? Human males are born with more muscle and hormonal support for strength. Female humans have attributes that the males don’t but physical strength is sacrificed for them. Hey….we can’t have it all…or can we?
If you ignore the female/male comparison you quickly discover the issue is not that woman are naturally weaker but that they “weaken” faster. People are born with all sorts of variations of ability. Comparison is a fools game. However woman because of their physiology can weaken very quickly. Unlike a man who will maintain under used muscle, woman lose strength as soon as they “take it easy”. A man will lose muscle from zero use but a woman will lose it from favouring lighter repetitive activity. Thus females lose strength from over use (repetitive cardio) and under use (lack of significant load bearing).

If you can absorb those two paragraphs you will realize that human female health and quality of life is now at greater risk than males. Modern life style for the most part has equalized all other stressors. Now it is your measure of strength correlating with your health and ability to remain satisfied with your life. The new normal is females experiencing the same stressors as males and suffering more because of natural muscle loss. It starts earlier in females and gets worse faster…but it doesn’t have to.
Be well, be strong,
