We’re fond of saying comparison is the thief of joy. It is basically a reminder to stick to working with what you have. That is not to say use it as an excuse but to be aware of yourself. The ability to look and be athletic is not common. In other words there is a difference between looking and feeling “more” athletic by getting in shape and actually being an athlete.
The thing to keep in mind is we have evolved to spot and recognize exceptional traits in other humans. The point is these traits are “exceptional”. People that move extremely well and/or appear highly photogenic are born not made.

Most important is that what we are saying here isn’t pop psychology. This isn’t a post about humility. What gets lost when you play the comparison game is learning all the nuances that make you…you. It is tough to read your health trends because so many aspects of your body is interact. We have found that often the facts and truth are quite counterintuitive. Comparison makes sorting and experimenting impossible. Comparison totally fogs and confuses reality and health is a race against time not other people.
Be well, be strong,
