The positive side effect of aging is the accumulation of good things. Experience, assets and a network of trusted people make aging enjoyable. The downside of aging is wearing down and wearing out. Being able to enjoy your achievements because you prepared by staying strong is a life being well lived.
We wear down at a rate directly proportional to our base strength. Physical strength can be built and maintained as a foundational function like saving and investing money. What matters is it must be placed before doing most things not afterward.
The accumulation of things can hide the side effects of age related weakening. Quality of life can be lowered by weakening but glossed over by making allowances for a physically easier lifestyle. That is a a trap and a temporary fix and actually speeds up weakening.

No one suffers more than the weak. Using your assets to try and make your life easier is a fatal mistake, it’s called “dis ease” for a reason. Prioritize sensibly.
Be well, be strong,
