Is Strength Overrated?

No….(smiles). The point to address here is that promoting strength especially physical strength tends to suggest that weakness is bad. Weakness can be bad but it can also be natural and evidence of the need for rest and recovery. These two things do not need to be compared anymore than you should compare your body to others.

To build and keep your body strong actually takes strength of character. Self care is easy if it means ice cream and couch time but weightlifting requires….personal strength. This is why we say:

As you build strength you strengthen your ability to face challenges and respect discipline. As you stimulate the inside of your body and brain you see evidence on the outside. Posture, balance and youthfulness is a reflection of that inner strength. Strength of bones and muscle is well integrated with strength of self reliance and self care. The way you look and move shows the world what is going on inside….body language as it is known.

Speak the language of health, be well and be strong,

Andrew and Tierney
