Technically the best or most important exercise is strength training. That which keeps you from running down and becoming slow over time. This is of course why we focus our personal training on serious muscle loading with weights designed to create strength and stamina.
The thing is over the years we have discovered something about exercise that’s is an even higher priority:
“The best type of exercise is exercise which is sustainable over a lifetime.”

Exercise for health and happiness is really of little use if you can’t keep with it forever. Exercise needs to:
1. Not require too much time every week so scheduling never becomes an issue.
2. It needs to be safe. If it can injure you that is the opposite of health and will totally derail you.
3. It needs to be exciting and intense so it doesn’t becoming boring/lacklustre.
Once you fit this type of exercise into your life it can and will remain like a good friend and confident. This type of exercise will protect you from stress and also enhance your quality of life.
