Online entertainment and digital based work has put desk time and TV-tainment on the scale of full blown drug addiction and alcoholism. Sitting is the new smoking, people are addicted and their health is failing.

It is no longer an issue that can be cured through “a few simple changes”. Being out of shape over decades and from a young age is brutal on health. Cheap calories and cheap brain buzz from screens and carbs has surpassed all other addictions.
To have the will and discipline to limit screen time and snacks is no longer child’s play. It will require massive intervention and reinforcement. The longer we wait to get open, honest and medically serious about this the more we will see society weaken and wither.
