People with more strength and muscle burn more calories at rest and at play. To maintain lean muscle mass requires calories even when those muscles aren’t being used and when they are used they burn fuel far better than small weak muscles.

This is why those who aren’t particularly strong will store fat so easily – fat which then seems very difficult to get rid of. Muscle is the engine of your metabolism, lack of muscle as seen in the majority of people is a huge part of metabolic problems.

The average person suffers from a weak metabolism because of weak muscles and this affects woman the most.
